I learnt toki pona in summer 2022, and read the whole bible. Decided to combine the two bc no one else has, so while out to a restaurant, made and prepared the Discord server. The Early days were… Chaotic. No documentation, near absolute trust in participants (anyone could edit docs, and translators had to self report). Then it got better as others can recount…

As the project grew and developed we started to gain more attention including from subject matter experts, which helped push us to improve our standards of organisation. These improvements to our general organisation drove a broader overhaul of our translation protocol, creating a system that fully leverages each member’s strengths to create quality work.

Today we are a multinational, multifaith organisation of laymen and scholars who use toki pona as a tool to understand the concepts of the Bible and the Bible as a tool to understand the mechanics of toki pona, while offering a safe space for civil and approachable discussion.
