We&#8217;re glad to have you on board. Our project has rapidly become the most successful toki pona Bible translation we know of \u2015 our translation procedures are more rigorous and interactive than others&#8217;, and we are rewarded for this rigor with a persistent project and a high rate of progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: join the Discord Server<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Join our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/discord.gg\/THwvq3khFN\">Toki Pona Bible Project<\/a><\/strong> Discord Server. All the translations happen within the server. If your Discord Account is not older than 3 month, we might check your identity first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: pick a role<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After joining the server, please go to <strong>Roles &amp; Channels<\/strong> and select the role you want within the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Translator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toki Pona Proofreader<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hebrew Specialist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Koin\u00e9 Specialist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Footnote-Taker (needs approval)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lurker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re just here to spectate, that&#8217;s absolutely fine, but grab the Lurker role \u2015 users without roles are periodically removed from the server, but don&#8217;t worry, you can add or change roles later on if you want. If you have sufficient knowledge of (ideally Biblical) Hebrew and\/or (ideally Koin\u00e9) Greek that you can assist in translation from original texts, pick up the roles for your language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: read the rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, please read the rules carefully. If you don&#8217;t agree to all the rules, leave the server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200c0. <strong>Don&#8217;t be a Dick: <\/strong>Help keep our community safe and welcoming by observing the following Code of Conduct:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Respect and Inclusivity:<\/strong> Treat all members with kindness and respect. Be open to diverse perspectives and avoid offensive language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Constructive Collaboration:<\/strong> Focus on productive and thoughtful contributions. Offer feedback that is helpful and positive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stay On-Topic:<\/strong> Keep discussions relevant to Bible translation and Toki Pona. Use designated channels for off-topic conversations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pick a Role:<\/strong> All users must select a role. Users without roles will be periodically removed to maintain community organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Respect the Moderators:<\/strong> Follow the guidance of the moderators and treat them with respect as they help maintain a positive community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No Spamming or Self-Promotion:<\/strong> Avoid unnecessary posts, spam, or unsolicited promotions. Share resources only when relevant to the discussion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Protect Privacy:<\/strong> Do not share personal information, and respect the privacy of other members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Follow Discord\u2019s Guidelines:<\/strong> Adhere to Discord\u2019s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Report appropriately:<\/strong> Use the <code>\/report<\/code> command supplied by YAGPDB to report instances of harassment or interpersonal conflict. Be sure to supply a <code>reason<\/code>!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>lipu sewi pi toki pona<\/em> community remains devoted to securing a safe and comfortable place for civil discussion.
